The Present is an erotic love story about Davis and Lisa celebrating their 10th anniversary, and how they invite a young woman into that celebration. Becky has surfaced from a marriage from hell with no sense of her own sexuality. It's loving and funny and burns with a searing fire throughout the story. Their gifts each year to each other cause Lisa to search for that perfect erotic present. And she nails it. I particularly loved the balcony scene between the two. You'll know what I mean when you get there. Each page is an exquisite gift from Patrick Khayler to the reader. This is the first book in a series of incredibly sensual and provocative books. You'll fall in love with Patrick's seductive style of writing, only be forewarned, he may spoil you for other authors.
From a male point of view This book starts out red-hot and proceeds to pass everything on the Scoville scale. This is, by far, the sexiest book I've read. It's not just romance for the ladies. Ladies and fellas, read this book together and I guarantee you won't be able to keep your hands off of each other. Readers may think about having a block of ice to sit on for cooling down certain body parts. It just about sent the kindle into total meltdown. Having read The Present, I'm now a major fan of Patrick Khayler's writing.
Really enjoyed this scorchingly hot FMF novel! Davis and Lisa alone have a dynamic chemistry mixed with real romance, and I found them very likeable and relatable. Then, when Becky is added to the mix, what an explosive group! Becky is sensual and vulnerable...really a fully-formed character too. Also, while Davis and Lisa have a true and deep love, I really liked that their initial path to love wasn't easy, either. I definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading more of Becky's story in Valentine Dreams!
This is the second book I have read from Mr. Khayler, and he utterly surprised me with this one.
From the beginning I was hooked.
Mr. Khayler has a way to bring you into the story and keep you wanting more.
The P. O. V. From both Lisa and Davis was perfect.
You could feel the love and bond that Davis and Lisa had, with that they could enjoy their fantasy together that makes one hell of an anniversary gift.
I highly recommend this read to anyone who want to be blown away by Mr. Khayler unique and very steamy thoughts.

OMG!!!!!!!!! After this book I swear I needed a cigarette. This book is so steamy is burned my to a crisp. Lisa and Davis are a married couple who totally and completely adore and love each other. They have an open an honest relationship and talk about sex, and explore sex, and love sex!!!!!!! So when each anniversary year they try to top each other, Lisa finds the ultimate present for Davis. When Lisa runs into Becky and invites her back to the house for a drink before Becky can go home after her divorce, the 2 woman talk about Becky's divorce. As Becky spills her guts about how horrible her marriage and sex life was Lisa's brain starts to turn with The Present she will give to Davis. When Lisa tells Becky her idea and explains to her that if she does not tell her partner what she wants she won't get it, Becky agree's with a yearning to feel it all. When Lisa finally reveals The Present to Davis he know this is a night all 3 of them will never forget. The Present is a book filled with pages and pages of spicy, hot, drooling, brow wiping, domineering, claiming, sex, along with the love, devotion, respect, and truthfulness of a married couple. This book is how all married couples sex life should be..

How does someone take you on such a complete journey in so few pages.
The story line was complete and complex all at the same time. My hat is off to the author at how he grabs my attention and holds it til the end of this panty melting story.
Finding that one person, who is The One is rare. For Lisa and Davis it started out slow growing into the ultimate bond any two people could possibly feel for each other. After marriage and children their love is still strong.
To celebrate their anniversary they arranged for a night alone, no kids. Having through the years try to outdo each other with gift ideas, Lisa is perplexed as to what to give the man she loves. A distant memory surfaces, a discussion between the two, would he remember? Everyone has a secret sexual fantasy, Lisa wants to give Davis his. In giving her true love his fantasy she will fulfill hers as well.
Davis is confused when coming home from work expecting to spend a sex filled evening with Lisa.
The unselfish, naughty gift he's given is the ultimate gesture of Lisa adoration and complete soul connection of love he could have ever received.

Patrick Khayler, is a new author for me, that will no longer be the case. He took a story of descriptive words and created a fantasy for his readers to jump in. You lose yourself as your reading, Lisa and Davis and all the characters become you or someone you know or want them to be.
Your spellbound,mesmerized with the storyline, the ease of character interaction and banter. It's all Breathtakingly Beautiful! I'm hooked as a reader from page1 to the end
